In a strategic move to expand its railway infrastructure product offering, Lagercrantz AS has acquired 100% of the shares in Glova Rail A/S, a Danish company that specializes in vacuum toilets for railway vehicles. The acquisition is expected to generate a small but positive contribution to the Lagercrantz Group’s earnings per share on an annual basis.
Renowned for its high quality and complete proprietary toilet systems, upgrades, and a wide range of spare parts for all the brands in the market, Glova Rail A/S had a turnover of approximately 58 MDKK in 2022 with good profitability. The company is the only supplier providing control panels or technical modules for all vacuum toilet brands in the market, making it a valuable addition to the Lagercrantz International Division’s growing product offering within railway infrastructure.
“We see great development potential in Glova Rail, and we are pleased to hand over responsibility to a knowledgeable and long-term owner like Lagercrantz. This way, we secure the company’s continued development and further expansion,” comments Horst Kirchner, partner, and former CEO of Glova Rail A/S.
The acquisition was spearheaded by Peter Bjørnskov, responsible for the acquisition within the International Division, who believes that Glova Rail’s acquisition will strengthen the company’s railway infrastructure product offering, further solidifying its position in the market.
Glova Rail A/S will become a part of the ACTE DK Group within the Lagercrantz International Division, effective April 2023.
